Leather Choices
Stressless recliners are well-known for their comfort and support, but the unique style of these elegant chairs provides a beautiful design element to your home. Finding the perfect fit for your tastes includes much more than getting the right measurements for lumbar and neck support. It also means helping you choose the type of leather and the color that will enhance your home’s décor and make you happy when you walk into the room and see your Stressless recliner. Our associates at Comfort Studio are not only well-versed in the many different options afforded by Stressless recliners, they also have years of experience in interior design to help you make the best choice for your tastes.
Picking the Perfect Leather
Before you hone in on a color, you first have to choose the type of leather you would like for your Stressless recliner. The designer offers 5 different leather choices:
Pioneer:
A luxurious, full-grain aniline pull-up leather that provides a full-bodied leather sensation. The exclusive and delicate quality retains the full original grain of the leather, and is treated with oils, waxes and transparent dyes to enhance the soft touch and natural appeal.
Batick:
A corrected, pigment-improved and grain-embossed upholstery leather with most of its natural marks removed. This type of leather may have a two-tone color effect, which livens up the surface. It is resistant to fading, although changes in color will occur over time with exposure to light.
Cori:
Like Batick, Cori is a corrected, pigment-improved and grain-embossed upholstery leather, but the difference is its distinct pebbled grain. Cori has a tip-shine, which adds depth and character to the surface.
Paloma:
A slightly corrected leather with a combination of dyes and pigments that smoothes some of the leather’s grain pattern. However, the grain structure of Paloma varies due to natural marks, scars and insect bites that appear within the leather.
Noblesse:
A full-grain, semi-aniline leather dyed all the way through with only a thin protective topcoat. The leather retains a natural softness and luster that characterizes a first-class furniture leather. Minor color nuances and skin blemishes may occur, giving it a unique look on each piece of furniture.
Finding the Right Color
Once you’ve chosen the leather for your Stressless recliner, it’s time to choose a color. The designer offers many different color choices, from neutrals to accent colors. The personal attention provided by the associates and Comfort Studio is important in helping narrow down the color choices and finding just the right cover for your purchase.
Our process allows each customer one-on-one time with our designers, allowing them to ask questions and get a feel for your preferences. Some of the things they’ll ask include:
- What are some of your favorite colors, or what colors do you have in mind?
- Are you wanting this recliner to serve as an accent piece in your interior design, or will it be used as something neutral, allowing other pieces such as rugs and drapes to provide accent color?
- What colors do you already have in your home? Think about the rugs, walls and pillows. You might even bring a pillow in to help assist in picking a color.
The personal assistance from our experts at Comfort Studio help ensure you make a Stressless purchase you will be happy with for years to come, both in style and comfort.
