The holidays are a time of giving -- giving thanks, giving gifts and giving of ourselves.
As we wrap up 2020, we recognize that this year has been challenging for some in our community. As people struggle with the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, from an economic and healthcare perspective, it has placed more of a strain on food banks, health clinics and many of the non-profits that serve our community.
Comfort Studio is proud to partner with Stressless to offer a Charity Event that will benefit our local Southern Pines community. With a donation of $50 or more to a charity of your choice, you will qualify for $400 off Stressless Mayfair in most leathers or $300 off other Stressless recliners. All you have to do is bring a copy of the check you wrote to the organization with you when you come to Comfort Studio to shop for your new recliner.
We’ve compiled a few suggestions of area non-profits who could use your help this holiday season:
Foodbank of Central and Eastern North Carolina, Sandhills Branch: Serving Lee, Moore, Richmond and Scotland Counties, our food bank works to distribute food in many different ways, from school pantries and weekend power packs for kids to distributing food to local soup kitchens and shelters.
Moore Free and Charitable Clinic: Provides healthcare to the uninsured and those with limited income. The clinic is working closely with the Moore County Department of Health to provide information and resources about the COVID-19 pandemic in our area.
United Way of Moore County: Contributions to the United Way stay right here in our community, providing support to more than 17 local non-profit organizations that helps enable them to bring the best programs to fit the targeted needs of our area.
Family Promise of Moore County: Supporting this non-profit provides direct support to women and children in our community in need of shelter, food and opportunity.
Sandhills/Moore Coalition for Human Care: Provides food and financial assistance to struggling households in Southern Pines and the surrounding county.
These are just a few of the organizations hard at work at helping people with housing, food insecurity and health issues in our area. When our neighbors are successful, we’re all more successful. This holiday season, Comfort Studio encourages you to reach out and help your neighbors as we all work to achieve even greater health and happiness in 2021.
